Top Former Iowa High School Football Offensive Performances – 9.6.25

This weekend in NAIA Morningside, Grandview, Dordt, Graceland, William Penn, Clarke, and St. Ambrose played.

At the NCAA DIII level all 10 teams played: Buena Vista, Coe, Cornell, Central, Grinnell, Loras, Luther, Simpson, University of Dubuque, and Wartburg.

Drake (FCS Pioneer League), Upper Iowa (DII), Waldorf (NAIA), and Northwestern College (NAIA) all had week two off after playing in week one.

There were some great performances across the board for former Iowa High School athletes. One of our goals at SGI to highlight former players at the next level.

Top Offensive Performers (Former Iowa High School Players)

Max Hough – Morningside MustangsRunning Back – Graettinger-Terril, IA– Hough ran for 13 carries for 192 yards and 2 TDs in the win at Briar Cliff. Hough has 296 yards rushing (plus 70 yards receiving – 31 Punt Return yards) on the year. Max has 397 all-purpose yards in two games this year.

Demarico Young – Simpson Storm – Running Back – Sioux City North, IA – Young ran for 102 yards on 15 carries and 1 TD in the overtime loss to Augustana, IL.

Joey Rhomberg – University of Dubuque – Quarterback – Mt. Vernon, IA – Rhomberg threw for 304 yards (26-44) including 4 TDs and 4 INTs in the loss against UW-Stout.

Leo Dodd – Wartburg – Quarterback – Janesville, IA – Dodd threw for 179 yards (15-22) and 1 TD. Leo also ran for 80 yards on 12 carries in the win against Monmouth, IL.

Jackson Waring – Grandview – Quarterback – Des Moines Christian – Waring threw for 162 yards (13-22) and 2TDs. He also rushed for 22 yards in the win against Benedictine, KS.

Cam Schulte – Pella – Wide Receiver – Pella, IA – Schulte caught 8 passes for 123 yards and 2 TDs in the win against Illinois Wesleyan.

Aisea Toki – Grandview – Wide Receiver – LeMars, IA – Toki caught 6 passes for 96 yards and 2 TDs in the win against Benedictine, KS.

Jacob Nelson – Morningside – Wide Receiver – North Scott, IA – Nelson caught 3 passes for 75 yards and 1 TD in the win against Briar Cliff.

Devon Kollasch – Coe College – Wide Receiver – Dike New Hartford, IA Kollasch had 4 catches for 108 yards and 2 TDs in the win against Cornell.
