SGI All Iowa Football Team 2025 – Offense

Our SGI All-Iowa Football Team is focused on promoting the best former Iowa High School Preps for the 22 Iowa Colleges and Universities at the NAIA, D2, D3, and FCS Non-Scholarship Level (Drake Football) that we covered this fall.

What a great fall football season it was, with Grand View University winning the NAIA National Title this past Saturday (the Vikings defended their 2024 crown and have a 29 game winning streak).

7 SGI Teams made the Playoffs or a Bowl Game

In Division 3 Wartburg and Coe College both made the 40 team – NCAA D3 Playoffs. In NAIA – William Penn (set a school record in wins in their 138th year of playing football), Dordt, and Grand View all made the playoffs. Drake won the Pioneer League for the 3rd year in a row and made the NCAA FCS Playoffs, and Upper Iowa (NCAA D2) also like William Penn set a program record in wins (120 years plus of playing football) and won the Albanese Candy Bowl Game.

The MVP of the SGI All-Iowa Team is Jackson Waring

The captain of the team if there was a preseason Vegas Line would have had Jackson “The Art of Waring” as the overwhelming favorite. He won the 2024 NAIA Player of the Year award and the signal caller from Des Moines Christian closed an amazing career with a national title.

Jackson followed up winning the NAIA Heisman in 2024, by winning it again last week. This made Jackson a unanimous choice for SGI Player of the Year.

We want to acknowledge that QB Leo Dodd from Wartburg had a great year at QB, leading the Knights to an undefeated regular season and NCAA playoff berth as our second team QB.

“Being a starting QB at the College Level from Iowa is a huge deal. There are 775 College Football Teams nationwide (FBS, FCS, D2, D3 and NAIA) and by our count there are only 6 schools that ended the year with an Iowa starting at the position – Grand View, Wartburg, Central College, University of Dubuque, Loras, and Appalachian State. We may be missing one or two, but even if we are that shows how tough it is to play QB at the college level”

The SGI All-Iowa Team is packed with All-Americans on the Offensive Side of the Ball, who all had stellar seasons. We announced the Offense winners on our SGI Podcast last week (Spotify Podcast below)

We had some fun on the podcast of course trying to come up with Chris Berman Style Nicknames for the winners. Jackson “the Art of War” ing. Maximus “Are You Not Entertained” Retaino, Demarico “Wait I thought I ordered an Americano” Brown and more.

I hope you will enjoy our fun attempts to recognize these great players on the podcast. What a great football season it was for the Iowa Teams capped by Grand View winning the National Title.

As Always, we appreciate your comments and support.
