Iowa’s has 5 NAIA football teams competing in NAIA and in 2024 the Grandview University Vikings closed a perfect 14-0 Season with it’s second National Championship.
Grand View University’s football team capped off a historic season winning their second national title in commanding performance in the NAIA National Championship. The Vikings faced off against previous National Champions, Keiser University, and delivered a 35-7 victory.
On their path to the title the Vikings defeated perennial power and fellow Iowa Uniiversity Morningside in the NAIA Semifinal game to reach the title game
Morningside University was once again the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Football Champions. The Mustangs posted a 10-0 league record this fall to win the title and the automatic berth to the NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS).
Morningside closed the regular season with a 56-3 win over Dakota Wesleyan. Ranked sixth in the latest NAIA Poll the Mustangs close the regular season with a 10-1 record.
