A-R-C Postseason Football Awards – 39 Former Iowa High School Athletes Honored

The Postseason Awards for Football are being published. The American Rivers Conference has the most Iowa-based teams that we cover playing at the NCAA DIII level with eight teams, so we will start with those schools first and publish the NAIA, D2 and Drake team honorees over the next few days.

Our goal at SGI is to cover the Non-Public Iowa College and Universities and give extra coverage to those former Iowa High School athletes who are playing at the next level.

Wartburg leads with 14 Former Iowa High School Players Honored

Wartburg is playing in round 2 of the NCAA Playoffs this Saturday at home after a perfect 10-0 regular season and leads the honor list with 14 former Iowa High School players who earned all-conference honors.

In our preseason Iowa Analysis for all 10 Iowa-Based NCAA DIII teams (which includes Grinnell and Cornell from the Midwest conference. There were when the season kicked off 432 former Iowa HS football players on these 10 teams rosters.

One Thing that jumps out at me is that there is direct coloration between the number of Iowa High School Players on DIII rosters from the state of Iowa versus the success rate. Wartburg was undefeated and is on a 50 game winning streak in the A-R-C. Simpson rose to 4th in the A-R-C, Central was top 25 all year and just missed the playoffs. Coe won their first round NCAA DIII Playoff game last weekend and advanced to a round two game this weekend.

The math shows the more Iowa High School players on your roster the higher level of success.

A-R-C All-Conference Awards earned by Iowa High School Players.

It is great to see the level of success Iowa High School players are having at the next level in the A-R-C in 2025. The A-R-C has grown into one the premier conferences in the U.S. over the past decade and has put two teams in the playoffs for the last 3 years running. Only 12 at large berths are given for the playoffs in DIII which is the largest NCAA Football division with 240 teams competing for 40 playoff spots.

Congrats to all the great Iowa High School Players competing at the next level of football that achieved top all-conference honors in the A-R-C (one of the top DIII conferences in the US).

As always, we appreciate your comments and support.
