This show grew out of Dr. Chris Bowser’s background as a former UNI Student Manager and College Basketball Coach.
His background in athletics and academics is extensive as he has worked at UNI, Missouri State (when they were in the Missouri Valley Conference), Kirkwood Community College (Cedar Rapids), Indian Hills Community College (Ottumwa), and now today as Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at Ozark Technical College in Springfield Missouri. He also is a former NCAA basketball assistant and ran the AAU Program Iowa Magic in the state for many years.
Chris loves basketball at all levels and is a devoted follower of the Missouri Valley Conference (he has only missed one MVC Men’s Arch Madness tourney in the last 30 years).
His Deep in the Valley Show actually started live at the 2026 MVC Men’s Tourney in ST. Louis this year.
